Salutations™!!
Nothing out of the way happened in the show this week. The only minor hiccup was that, once again, Oasis got put out due to timing. I joked with The BCPF that “Songbird” by Oasis was the “Lindsay Buckingham” (played by Bill Hader) from the Kenan Thompson skit, “What’s Up With That” from Saturday Night Live. The Kinks song didn’t play for the same reason.

The theme for this week was part two of “relatives.” Parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins. It had to be blood relatives. So, no step-parents/children, no married couples unless it correlated with something else. Here is the tracklist:
Hour #1

Cowboy Junkies – Anniversary Song
Heart – What About Love
Osmonds – One Bad Apple
Marie Osmond – Paper Roses
INXS – What You Need

So what is your musical family connection? Did I leave any out? I know I did, it was a two hour show, we would have needed a lot more hours. But, next week will be “part 2” of the theme.
Do you have ideas for show topics? I’d really love to hear your ideas because eventually (any day now), I’m going to run out of things to talk about out of my feeble brain.
Also, you don’t have to be “local” to listen. We are an internet-based radio station and are licensed to broadcast anywhere in the US, Canada, and the UK. We broadcast out of the Omniverus Studios at Liberty Plaza.
Your next question may be: well, how do we listen? We have you covered on that. The Camel City Radio app is available on both the Apple Play and Google Play stores, so we are compatible with any iOS or Android device. Also, we now have our Alexa Skill. All you have to do is say, “Alexa, play Camel City” and Bob’s your uncle. You don’t even have to say “radio” (because she takes me to some weird Pandora channel). Just “Camel City.”
You can comment here, send an email or call 336-462-8660 and leave a voicemail. We will play your VM on the air (unless you tell us not to).
Listen to The BCPF’s Rose Garden of Doom on Saturday mornings at 10a-until. Eugene has The Non-Conformist Cult Radio Show on Friday Nights, 8p-midnight!
Until next time, same blog channel at some blog time…
Scorp out!
