Salutations™!!
It’s been a while since I’ve actually been to a barber or stylist to have my hair cut. I usually get either 3B or The BCPF to use the clippers on me, “1” guard on the sides and back and a “2” guard on the top (to make sure I don’t look bald).

But, today I went and had a proper haircut. I went to Washington Park Barbershop (after initially going to Ardmore Barbershop erroneously). My friend Doug Hawkins was there and after asking yesterday if he had any openings, he gave me the times he had available and I went and he did my “‘do.” I still got the “1” guard around the sides and back but he used a bit different something on the top and left enough for me to “style” if I want. He also cut down my ever-increasingly-crazy eyebrows and trimmed up my wiry beard.
He’s a musician and a music lover. He’s a great barber and is a great conversationalist, so, if you get a chance to sit in his chair, I highly recommend it. He’s a major dude and will do you right. Tell him I sent you. It won’t get you anything but it’ll show him that he’s doing a great job and people are recommending him. Washington Park Barbershop is on the corner of Acadia and Broad right between Slappy’s Chicken and Southside Beer Garden. If you need more than that, it’s 2104 S. Broad Street.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
