Salutations™!!
City Beverage, the Official Beer Sponsor of The Less Desirables, presents Torch Pilsner from Foothills Brewing, The Less Desirables Beer of the Week.
We had this on the show tonight. I have to say that pilsners are my least favorite beer style. Yeah, I know I talk about not liking IPAs but I can sometimes find some that I like. Pilsners to me are a waste of time and resources, at least when it comes to me. If you like pilsners, then that’s great. You may like this one.
I know that many people like this one. It won medals at both the 2016 and 2017 Great American Beer Festival. So, we had like the best pilsner in America. So, for those of you who do like them, this is your pilsner. I know I’ve already said that, but it is.
BeerAdvocate rates it as 3.65/5 (Good). Untappd has it as 3.37 caps out of 5. It has an ABV of 5.3%. Have you had it? What did you think? If you’ve not had it or just have a hankering for more, head to City Beverage and grab your sixer. Tune in, now, to hear what Danielle, Bethany, Josh and I think of it.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

“Legend has it that, well over a century ago, citizens of western Bohemia grew so dissatisfied with their beer they dumped it in the streets. So a new style evolved, in the city of Pilsen, combining the soft local water with pale malts and earthy Saaz hops. And the Bohemians were pleased. Our pilsner adheres closely to that original style. ’Cause we dig happy Bohemians.” – Foothills
