Salutations™!!
It has been over a year since I’ve posted a new blog post. I did migrate the site to a new host and “redesigned” it. I will admit that is kind of rudimentary because I’m not a web designer.
Something that has happened is… I started a new internet radio station called Camel City Radio. Let’s be 100% real here. The whole reason I got into podcasting was because I wanted to be in radio. I just never had the “stones” to be on the radio. I don’t know why because I’ve done it a good bit and podcasting is basically “radio on demand,” right?

Eugene, The BCPF, and I are the brains and the muscle behind this new venture. We started it in August, just before The BCPF and I went to Paris. It was really just a glorified playlist for a while. After some trial and error, some trials and tribulations, and a few months of uploading songs, we now have a truly working radio station.
What do we play? We play any “popular” music from all the way back to the 1940s through today. What do I mean by “popular” music? Well, take the grand scope of music genres, and eliminate opera, classical, chamber, and others of that ilk. What is left is country, bluegrass, rock, rap, pop, alternative, soul, R&B, and so on. Most radio stations have around 500-1000 songs that they have in rotation. We have over 17,000. A shload.
Eugene is on the air every M-F from 6a to 10a. I take over from 10a to 2p. Eugene has brought his Non-Conformist Cult Radio Show to Camel City Radio. It airs from 8p-midnight on Friday nights. The BCPF has her “The BCPF’s Rose Garden of Doom” on Saturday mornings from 10a-2p. And, starting tonight, I’m bringing a brand new radio show to our airwaves. It’s an homage to what this blog used to be; what the podcast was going to be if I had gained any traction. It’s called — ready for this? — Useless Things Need Love Too: The Radio Show.

UTNL2 will be a weekly themed show. From 8p-10p on Sunday night, I will bring you songs that fit a theme. The inaugural show tonight’s theme is: Songs where the title doesn’t appear in the lyrics. To find out more about that, you should really listen to the show.
Not in my area? So what!? That’s the beauty of Internet radio. We are fully licensed and broadcast in ALL of North America, including the US and Canada, and in the UK! So, you have no excuses about it not being available to you.
But how do I listen? you may ask. It’s simple. If you have an internet connection, go to our website, CamelCityRadio.com, or download the Live365 App for your mobile device and use the keyword “Camel City Radio.” If you have a Roku device, Live365 has a whole channel where you can listen to the broadcast of your choice. Just search Camel City Radio. Easy peasy, George and Wheezy.
Later tonight or tomorrow morning, I will post the playlist in case you missed it or just wanted me to run down the list again. This won’t be rebroadcast so this is your only chance to hear it.
Once you listen, I’d appreciate some feedback. I must say, too that all times are Eastern time. So adjust accordingly. Happy listening!
Until next time, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
