Salutations™!!
City Beverage, the Official Beer Sponsor of The Less Desirables, presents the Milk Stout from The Duck-Rabbit Brewing Company, The Less Desirables Beer of the Week.
The old stand-by. The standard milk stout in the world of milk stouts. Duck-Rabbit does these things right. They are dark beer specialists. They make great dark brews, stouts, porters and so on. I believe the lightest beer they do is an amber. It’s milky, creamy, rich and surprising light on the palate. All that and the chocolatey notes make this a great beer. The ABV is right at 5.7%.
BeerAdvocate rates it at 3.84/5 (Very Good). Untappd has it at 3.78 caps out of 5.
Have you tried it? What did you think? If you’ve not had it or just have a hankering for more, head to City Beverage and grab your sixer. Tell them that we sent you; that it’s the TLD beer of the week.
Listen here to find out what Danielle, Connie and I said about it.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…

“The Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout is a traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). Because lactose is unfermentable by brewer’s yeast, it remains in the beer. The subtle sweetness and fullness of flavor imparted by this sugar balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains that give this delicious beer its black color. All year long, Milk Stout is our number one selling beer!” – Duck Rabbit Brewery
