Salutations™!!
Okay, Dear Reader, where were you when you heard that Mr. Barbecue was on fire?
I was getting ready to hit record on The Less Desirables podcast. It bothered me. It’s my favorite barbecue spot and home of one of my top 5 cheeseburgers in town.

It seems an ember from the smoker caught something on fire. The employees and manager were able to get all the other employees and the four customers in the restaurant at the time out. No one was hurt, thankfully. The firefighters broke a hole in the roof to let the flames and heat escape which made it easier for them to fight it.
The Carros family, who started and have owned the biz since 1963 have said that the damage was severe but manageable and they do plan on reopening as soon as they possibly can. I know the insurance inspectors were due as early as today. When I drove by there around 330p today, there was a crew on the roof, covering the holes, so they are on it, it seems.
Over the last year or so, I have gotten to know a few of the employees at least by their first name and worried about them when I heard the news. Again, everyone is fine.
I ate there twice on Monday. Once for lunch and once right before 9pm. I really hope they open soon as I’m already missing what I know I can’t have. Funny how that works, isn’t it?
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
