Salutations™!!
I’ve never had a “real” hangover, being one of the results of alcohol use, much to the chagrin of my friends. But, I always seem to have a holiday hangover. I know I listened to way too much holiday music. I hate most Christmas music and we shot one after the other after the other after the other on Tuesday and then some on Wednesday. It was ringing in my head and it was rough, so I need to get to something a lot happier (or at least not Christmas) and I figured some darker, more depressing music would be in order. Tomorrow is the 52nd anniversary of Leonard Cohen’s Songs of Leonard Cohen. So here’s Rufus Wainwright’s cover of “So Long, Marianne.” Enjoy!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…

“We met when we were almost young, deep in the green lilac park. You held on to me like I was a crucifix as we went kneeling through the dark. Oh so long, Marianne, it’s time that we began to laugh and cry and cry and laugh about it all again.” – “So Long, Marianne” (Cohen)
