Salutations™!!
Today is the 32nd anniversary of Let’s Active’s Every Dog Has His Day album. Mitch Easter is a friend of mine. If we see each other, it’s always, “how are you and how’re things?” It’s not just a nod and a pass. My band, Heavens Sake, was the first full-band to record in the “new” Fidelitorium, all the way back in 1999. Wow. Mitch, though, is more than Let’s Active, he was heavy in the production of early R.E.M. albums, he worked with Squirrel Nut Zippers and Suzanne Vega, Daughtry and a shload of other artists. He’s just a magical dude and a legend in WSNC.
Also, I believe the drummer in this video is Eric Marshall and he gave my son drum lessons for about a month before 3B decided he wasn’t interested anymore. I know Eric had some medical issues a while back. I haven’t heard but I hope he’s doing okay. Anywhat! Skip forward on this until about 29 seconds or just watch the guy spazzing out at the beginning, he’s pretty comical. Enjoy!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
