Salutations™!!
Well, today is the 157th anniversary of my birth state, West Virginia. I have so many great memories of that state from around 1971 (when I can remember things) until around 2012 (the last time I was there). I moved to WSNC on 6/21/1986 (so can you guess what tomorrow’s blog post will be about? You may be right, but you may be wrong). I went back often from ’86 to about ’92 or so. Then for holidays until 2008. After that, I went back maybe twice. It’s not that I dislike WV. I have no problems telling people that I am from there, originally. I am not ashamed of it. But, Facebook has allowed me to see my friends from up there as often as I like and my family that is still there is on Facebook and many come down here a few times a year (when we’re not in C-19 Lockdown). I hate driving and well, that’s three and a half hours that I could be doing something else, honestly. So, for today’s song, I dedicate it to my friends, family and the state I was born in and had so many wonderful memories of and that’s good enough for me.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
