Salutations™!!
I apologize Dear Reader (and Dear Listener) for not having a podcast the last two weeks. I have been so busy doing the Beeswax Vinyl Daily podcast to prepare for this week that I haven’t really experienced anything, watched anything new, heard anything, done anything. Why this week? Well, with the exception of Monday, when I do TMWATT and a couple of client things, I’m on a mental health break all week and possibly the following week with the exception of a day, probably. Anyway, today is the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s fourth album, Hunky Dory, which was the first with Mick Ronson in Bowie’s band and had Rick Wakeman playing keyboards. The big tune was Changes! but this is one of my faves and I went straight to the source for it! Enjoy!
To the girl with the mousy hair
But her mummy is yelling, “No!”
And her daddy has told her to go
But her friend is nowhere to be seen
Now she walks through her sunken dream
To the seat with the clearest view
And she’s hooked to the silver screen
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

” It’s a god-awful small affair to the girl with the mousy hair. But her mummy is yelling, “No!” And her daddy has told her to go. But her friend is nowhere to be seen. Now she walks through her sunken dream to the seat with the clearest view. And she’s hooked to the silver screen.” – “Life on Mars?” (Bowie)
