Salutations™!!
The BCPF and I were at a really cool wedding last night. It was between my pal Liz May and her really cool hubs, Martin Campbell. It was held at the Carolina Theatre in Greensboro. It was on the theatre’s stage. Before the wedding, there was organ music playing from a true organist throughout the theatre. The music was popular songs and classic tunes, as well. I believe there were some movie or theatrical things played as well.

The stage sign had “Act I: The Wedding” and when the “dance party/reception” happened it said “Act II: The Reception.” Another really cool thing was they had the Reynolds High School Choir doing acapella “bells” in lieu of the wedding march. Liz’s brother, Russ, was the officiant and offered a little personal and comedic commentary in with the procedure. Then a select ensemble of the Reynolds’ choir did an acapella version of “The Luckiest” from Ben Folds (who also happened to graduate from Reynolds). Afterward, we went to the dining room and I did trivia for the “table call” for the buffet line. The Plaids performed for the dance party and I got to sing a little backup with them. Then they went out to their hotel in a checkered cab with a sparkler-line.
It was just a well-thought-out evening and unique. Many congrats to Liz and Martin and here’s to them having a wonderful life together.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

“I don’t get many things right the first time. In fact, I am told that a lot. Now I know all the wrong turns the stumbles and falls brought me here. And where was I before the day that I first saw your lovely face? Now I see it every day and I know that I am, I am, I am, the luckiest.” – “The Luckiest” (Folds)
