Salutations™!!
So, here’s the deal. I am traveling today and don’t know when I’ll have any WiFi to create a post, so I’m going to do the “Sounds Like Saturday” for tomorrow, which is August 1. August 1, 1981, MTV premiered and changed music promotion and airplay forever. MTV, in its true form, has gone the way of the dinosaur, with the “M” no longer standing for “music” but “miscellaneous.” But, this was the first song played on the channel and it was fitting and true. Ask Christopher Cross. I love Postmodern Jukebox, too, so this fits. Enjoy!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

“I heard you on the wireless back in fifty-two. Lying awake intent at tuning in on you. If I was young it didn’t stop you coming through. They took the credit for your second symphony. Rewritten by machine on new technology. And now I understand the problems you can see. I met your children. What did you tell them? Video killed the radio star…” – “Video Killed the Radio Star” (Downes/Horn/Woolley)
