Salutations™!!
Today is the 33rd anniversary of Tracy Chapman’s AMAZING self-titled debut. She is an enormous talent and the things she sings about and how she sings them are captivating. It was #263 on the RS list that matters and #256 on the one that doesn’t (but it’s a good thing for her). This is a great version, too. Enjoy!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…

“See, my old man’s got a problem. He lives with a bottle, that’s the way it is. He says his body’s too old for working. His body’s too young to look like his. When momma went off and left him, she wanted more from life than he could give. I said ‘somebody’s gotta take care of him.’ So I quit school, and that’s what I did.” – “Fast Car” (Chapman)
