Salutations™!!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Contrary to many people, Cinco de Mayo is not the Mexican Independence Day like our 4 July. Cinco de Mayo is the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 on, you guessed it… May 5. So, for us self-righteous and self-centered Americans, happy Mexican beer, tequila shots and margarita day to you all. By the way, the Grito de Dolores (Cry of Delores – the start of the Mexican Independence Revolution) is Dieciséis de Septiembre or September 16.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
