Salutations™!!
With the crazy panic that happened with the false alarm in Hawaii this past weekend, it got me thinking, what would I do? I really hadn’t thought about it. I mean I lived through the 80s with all the scares we had to deal with concerning Russia. We always worried about it but it was way in the backs of our minds. Those evil Russians wouldn’t do that, would they?
Well, nowadays we are dealing with two egotistical megalomaniacs that could, at any minute, set the other off and then we would be at nuclear war. Hawaii’s proximity to the Korean Peninsula also creates a higher risk, perceived or otherwise, to add to the anxiety that we all are feeling right now.
I can’t imagine the fear and panic each person may have felt for that 38 minutes. “THIS IS NOT A DRILL” (exactly like that, caps and all) blaring and flashing across cell phones, radios and televisions, over a million people were scrambling to tell their loved ones they love them, getting in position to protect themselves and their families. I feel I’d have had a stroke or coronary.
The question to you, Dear Reader, is what would you do in that situation? I’d gather, if I had time, The BCPF and 3B (although I’m sure I’d be fighting his mother for that) and hunker down where ever we can find safe. Just keep them there until the danger passed or until it was all over. I still don’t know, even now, exactly what I’d do. I really don’t want to think about it, even though I know I probably should. I’d still like to hear what you would do.
Stay safe out there, okay?
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
