Salutations™!!
Today, ServPro began tearing the heck out of my AC closet, the laundry room, the downstairs bathroom, and part of the kitchen. The mold behind the sheetrock that was either directly or indirectly in contact with the leaking AC unit was really bad. Oddly, the AQ (air quality) test came back with no cross-contamination.
I quote one of the mitigation team (heard by me in the living room): “my lord almighty!” I had to go in and see what was going on. There was a lot of mold eating away at a lot of sheetrock. Again, it was bad. They wiped down the vents with an antimicrobial that makes my whole house smell like Chloraseptic but without the not-exactly-pleasant cherry flavor. The laundry room and the AC closet was also cleaned with that stuff. They’ll go to ripping the rest out after they get the mold controlled.
They are coming back tomorrow to do more stuff, so it’s on like Donkey Kong. Forgive me for that one.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
