Salutations™!!
Today is the 34th anniversary of George Michael’s “debut” solo album, Faith. I put that in quotes because to some, the last Wham! album could be considered mostly a George Michael solo album. Whatever… This was the first single from the album and got a lot of flack because it seemed too sexual, but really if you dig down, it’s about monogamy not whoring around. In fact, there was a disclaimer at the beginning of Michael’s video for this. It reads: In the past, there were arguments for and against casual sex. Then it became a question of morality. These days it can be a question of life or death. It’s as simple as that. And this song is not about casual sex.
I dig this dude’s cover, simplistic but he does have some cool overdubs happening. Enjoy!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
