Salutations™!!
I’ve mentioned before that I used to own a comic book store. I have always loved comic books, superheroes, fantasy, mystique and all that. Almost every comic book movie that comes out now is an instant success. That’s a far cry from the “old days.” It seems that Marvel is king in the modern superhero movie and pretty much, that’s true since DC doesn’t give them much competition.

I can tell you that I have always loved this stuff, and I love Marvel but, really… the comics have always been about DC for me. I’m a DC guy. Sure, I love Spider-Man, Thor and Iron Man. But, I don’t really care about Captain America, X-Men, Hulk and all that. I mean, I don’t dislike them, they just don’t keep my interest. What does keep my attention is Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Justice League, Green Arrow, Nightwing, Shazam! (whom I still want to call Captain Marvel), Joker, Riddler, Captain Cold, Titans, and so on. Those have always had my attention.
A couple of years ago, DC came out with its own streaming service. I didn’t know if a limited playlist and features list would be worth it. Plus, I thought it was about $15/month. It’s only $7.99 per and the playlist is only growing. Plus, a lot of the other streaming services are losing their DC content and it’s showing up on the DC platform. I’ve only had it for about 30 hours and I’ve watched a lot of Super Friends, a couple of animated movies and am now watching the remastered (and it looks fantastic) Shazam television show from 1974-1976 and love it! All that and I can read comics on the app, as well. So, I’m a believer.
So, I recommend the service for anyone who is a DC Comics fan, likes the campy, the cheesy, the fantasy and more. I mean it wasn’t cheesy back then.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
