Today is the 40th anniversary of Ultravox’s Vienna. I know a few songs by Ultravox and have loved what I’ve heard. I love that new wave synth stuff from the late 70s/early 80s. This, the title song, is kind of haunting and Midge Ure, the lead vox for Ultravox did a fantastic job. I dig it. I think you will, too. Enjoy!

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

We walked in the cold air, freezing breath on a windowpane. Lying and waiting. A man in the dark in a picture frame, so mystic and soulful. A voice reaching out in a piercing cry, it stays with you until… The feeling has gone, only you and I. It means nothing to me. This means nothing to me. Oh, Vienna.” – “Vienna” (Cann/Cross/Currie/Ure)
