I don’t think that I’ve had a lot of brews from Otter Creek. I know one thing, though. I love this beer. It was so easy to drink and the chocolate and caramel notes came through the coffee with a little hint of stonefruit (turns out it’s plum). Only 5.6% ABV so it’s not too heavy on the brain-numbing, either. This was a collaboration with the Vermont Coffee Company.
BeerAdvocate rates it at 3.99/5 (Very Good). Untappd has it at 3.78 caps out of 5. Both of those are great scores. I rated it 5 out of 5 on the show tonight. Have you had it? What did you think? If you’ve not had it or just have a hankering for more, then head to City Beverage and grab your sixer. Tell them that we sent you!
Listen HERE to see what Danielle’s and my thoughts were of it. Bethany was sick and the guest doesn’t drink.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
“This new recipe, developed alongside the roasters up the street in Middlebury, Vermont, features a full-bodied flavor profile rich with slightly sweet notes of chocolate and caramel derived from a heavy dose of dark malts while a touch of brown sugar reveals subtle notes of plum and vanilla.” – Otter Creek Brewing
