Well, here we are again. The first day of school. 11 years in, now and I wish I could go back and find each year’s first day and see the progression, but that doesn’t seem likely. Kindergarten to, now, 10th Grade. It’s hard to believe that he’s already to this stage.
Such a small kid with that funky rat tail to full-on long hair to a short buzz to this near-giant of a young man with a mop top. That’s my boy. And, the years come fast. Very fast. Hopefully, he’ll get in there today and enjoy it and want to do better in school than he has in the last seven years. Do I hold out hope? Yes. Do I hold my breath? Nope.
Well, enjoy the pic and marvel at my boy’s growth and know that I love that guy. So very much. I can’t say I understand the shirt, though. Happy first day of school, kid.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
