The 19th Annual RiverRun Film Festival has kicked off! For the next 9 days the town will be filled with celebs, films and activities. There are 151 films from a whole slew of countries. There is more to do than just films, though. There are gala events (tonight), parties, panels and just plain fun.
We recently had new Executive Director for RiverRun, Rob Davis, on The Less Desirables. He had a great time with us and vice versa. We talked about the festival’s history, his history and some of his favorite films and films in general. It was informative and entertaining, if I do say so myself. Rob is a movie guru and a gem for RiverRun.
The Less Desirables are a media sponsor of the festival and The BCPF and I will be attending several of the events. We hope to meet up with some of our regular festival going friends and hang out and drink a bit. We like the parties and frolic. We have a good time with these. The BCPF used to work for RiverRun and we know a good bit of the staff, really well. It will be great to see and chat with them, as well.
I recommend that you go see a few films. There are so many to choose from. And there’s a 70mm film version of Ghostbusters (1984) that is being screened. I’d say that would be a safe bet. Tell them that you heard about it from me and from The Less Desirables. And enjoy all the activities you can! Look for The BCPF and me. Say “hi!” For more information and to purchase tix visit the RiverRun website.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
