City Beverage, the Official Beer Sponsor of The Less Desirables, presents Highland Brewing‘s IPA, The Less Desirables Beer of the Week.

Really, I don’t think you can go wrong with Highland. I mean, even their worst beer is good beer, right? I know this is the season for Oktoberfests and all, and don’t worry, there will be a good amount of fall beers and, soon, winter beers on this show, but I thought we’d unnamed-2throw Caitlin a bone for a week as we transition. I’ve stated numerous times that I’m tired of IPAs and nothing has changed, but it’s not all about me. I have to accommodate my co-hosts, as well. And, again, it is Highland.

BeerAdvocate has it at 89 (Very Good) on both the score and Bros score. Untappd has it at 3.83 caps out of 5. RateBeer has it at 96 Overall and 95 in Style. It’s sitting at 7%ABV, so that’s a plus. I’m pretty sure I can tolerate it at that.

Have you had it? What did you think? If you’ve not had it or just have a hankering for more, head to 915 Burke Street and tell them that this is the beer of the week and you can get 5% off your order! Then listen later tonight or early tomorrow (or whenever) and see what Caitlin, Danielle, Dustie and I think about it.

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

“A statement from Appalachia. American Chinook, Citra, and Centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest shine in our first West Coast style IPA. A sturdy malt bill frames hints of tropical fruit, lemon rind, grapefruit and dank hops notes. Brilliant and golden in color. expect a dry, resiny, citrusy finish.” – Highland IPA
