The tour of “marzen” style Oktoberfest beers continues. I’ve quickly taken to them and love each and every one that I’ve had so far this year, including the one from Sam Adams. Good stuff, all. This one comes from Duck-Rabbit in Farmville, NC. Duck-Rabbit and I have a weird relationship. One minute I can like a beer from them and the next, not.
They’ve a unique style about them, for sure. They have a solid reputation, though and since I’m in the mood for Oktoberfests, then I’m looking forward to this one.
They do say it’s the lightest of their German-styled brews at 4.6%ABV. BeerAdvocate has it rated at 85 (Very Good) with no Bros Score. Untappd has it at 3.58 caps out of 5. RateBeer has it at 60 Overall and 93 Style. Have you tried it? What do you think? If not, or if you just have a hankering for more, head to City Bev and grab your sixer. Tell them it’s the Beer of the Week and get 5% off your order. Then tune in late tonight or tomorrow to see what Caitlin, Danielle, Tracy and I thought of it.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
