City Beverage, the Official Beer Sponsor of The Less Desirables, presents Festbier by Victory Brewing from Downington, PA, The Less Desirables Beer of the Week.

I’ve gotten into the Oktoberfest stuff, mainly because it will be gone quickly. Unlike unnamed-9pumpkin things that we will have to endure through the winter, this usually only lasts a few weeks. I’ve always been hit or miss with Victory, but I’m hoping this one doesn’t let me down.

BeerAdvocate has it at 84 (Good) and a Bros. Score of 83 (Good). Untappd has it at 3.45 caps out of 5. RateBeer has it at 56 overall, 92 in style. It’s 5.6% ABV so it’s a good average beer. Let’s see how it goes.

Have you had it? What did you think? If you’ve not or just have a hankering for more, head to City Bev and grab your sixer. Tell them it’s the beer of the week and get 5% your order. Tune in late tonight or early tomorrow to hear what Danielle, her guest and I thought of it.

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!

“Friendship and camaraderie: the two keys to any festive event. And then there’s the beer. It should be full-bodied, yet infinitely smooth. Seductively malty, with a kiss of the hops for balance. This is our Festbier. Painstakingly crafted from German malts, decoction brewed for full flavor and carefully aged for depth of character. Gather with your friends for a festive moment of Victory!” – Victory Festbier description.
