Welcome to this, my 701st blog post (at least on this platform). I’ve spent a lot of time talking with you guys about my life, my wife, my kid, my family, my podcasts, my food, my friends, my honeymoon, my rants, my music reviews, my movie reviews, my everything. I’d written plenty of posts sporadically when I switched everything over from my old Blogspot platform to this one and continued to do so. I just found WP to be an easier platform to maneuver.
Then came November 1, 2014, a mere day shy of my second month wedding anniversary: the start of NaBloPoMo: a post every day for the month of November. I had started the “Honeymoon Chronicles” whilst on the honeymoon and once I started NaBloPoMo, it gave me fodder for posting. It would have been spread out otherwise. November came and went and I decided to not give up my “streak.” I’m one for streaks. Then December and January and so on. Here it is, now almost two years later and I’m still going. Every day is accounted for, even if I’m writing a post for one of my other blogs, I’m piggybacking to make sure this blog has content.
I don’t really see me stopping. But, I’ll be honest, I have actually missed a day – more than once – but I have, as I said, as long as it’s accounted for, I still count it. I may have written it at midnight or 2am but I back date it. I have never missed it by more than four hours. Every time I’ve done that, but twice, I had the post written, but didn’t post it for either forgetting or distraction. So, there, honesty. But, again, it’s always accounted for. I’m glad you’re with me and I’m glad you read my stuff. I can’t thank you enough, Dear Reader, really. Maybe there will be another 702 in a row?
Until tomorrow, for #702, same blog channel..
