City Beverage, the Official Beer Sponsor of The Less Desirables, presents Vitamin Sea Australian Sparkling Ale from Southern Pines Brewing Company, The Less Desirables Beer of the Week.

To my knowledge, I’ve never had a Southern Pines brew on The Less Desirables. And, as I can tell, I had one called a “Duck Hook” (a cream ale) in June of last year for a The Beer Dads taping.  I rated that 4 stars out of 5 on unnamedUntappd, so it must have been decent. The Australian Sparkling Ale is just that. It’s an ale that is slightly carbonated to create that “sparkling” note with it. Spencer says it’s good stuff, so, of course, I had to try it, right?

BeerAdvocate has no rating or Bros Score with just one review. It has to have ten to have a composite. Untappd has it rated at 3.31 caps out of 5. I’m hoping that it doesn’t let me down. I know it’s only 4.5%ABV, so it’s not too heavy.

Have you had this beer before? What did you think? If not or if you just have a hankering for more of it, head to City Beverage and ask for your own sixer. Tell them it’s the beer of the week and you’ll get 5% off your order. Then tune in tonight to hear what Caitlin, Niki, Jay and possibly a few guest hosts along with me have to say about it.

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
