I’m one to think that Tröegs Bros and their little brewery operation can do little wrong. They do what they do and they do it quite well. They bring out the big guns when they need to (like the Tröegenator) and they bring the mellow and understated when they need to. I would think this would be the latter. It’s an American Pale Ale that is only 5.2% ABV and has an IBU score of 45. It’s lighter and since we’re coming up on late spring/early fall, it’s probably “that time” although I don’t let seasons dictate my drinking habits, I do the experimenting for you, Dear Reader.
BeerAdvocate has it rated at 85 (Very Good) with no Bros Score. Untappd has it 3.62 caps out of 5. I can’t wait to try it. It doesn’t seem too overly hopped by the IBU score, although it does have mosaic and cascade hops inside it’s precious golden liquidity. We’ll test it and let you know what we think. Have you had this beer? What did you think? If you haven’t or just want it again, head down to 915 Burke Street in WSNC and grab your sixer. Then listen tonight or later this week to hear what Caitlin, Pam, Danielle, Nick and I think of it. Drink up! Slànte!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
