The BCPF and I had a great time hanging with Ma Mère yesterday. We took her first to Mary’s Gourmet Diner and Atelier on Trade, then walked around downtown showing her stuff. She had fun. It was under the guise that I wouldn’t see her since I had other plans today (which is partly true, I do have plans today). But, the full truth is, The BCPF and I are actually surprising her this morning at church (well, it’s supposed to be Ma Sœur, her hubs, her three kids, Ma Frère, my ex, my son and us. The whole fam damily. I’m not at all looking forward to church and we all know why, I’m not going into that, but Pops asked and I’m giving him 2 credits and one is used up this morning.
Now the other thing I have is that today is the first SSO4 (Second Sundays on Fourth) of the year. We close down 4th Street between Cherry and Marshall and The Little Block of Awesome takes over. Music, food, beverages, bounce houses for the lit’luns, fun for the whole family. Entrance and music and bouncing things are all free. Food and beverage is available for a nominal fee. Today’s musical guests are local faves, The Genuine and national act, Mount Moriah. So, bring your mom on out and have fun with the whole family!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
