It’s been a while since I have talked about travel. Specifically, I’ve not talked a lot about Disney travel and that is the whole reason I’m even a travel professional. There’s so much going on in Disneydom that it’s really hard to keep up with everything. That’s why I’m here, though: to help you wade through the mucky-muck. Let’s talk a bit (this is all about Walt Disney World in Florida):
You can get a FREE Dining Plan when you buy a non-discounted 5-night/6-day package that includes a room at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel and ticket with Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More Option! For arrivals most nights Aug. 23-Oct. 1, Nov. 15-21, Nov. 26-28 and Dec. 10-21, 2016. The Disney Dining Plan is a fantastic way to try food all over “the World” when you’re at WDW. You get to choose from a seemingly endless array of different cuisines spanned across the entire resort complex, including some of the resort hotel restaurants. It should be noted, however, that many of the 4.5-5 star restaurants require TWO entitlements. The majority of the restaurants, however, just use up one. The Dining Plan is a “length-of-stay-only” feature, so you can’t just get the Dining Plan for 3 of the 6 days, it’s for all 6 days. The other “fine print” here is that it’s not for the “Value” category of hotels. It’s for the “Moderates (Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans, etc.),” “Deluxe (Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian, etc.)” and “Deluxe Villas (Villas at many of the Deluxe)” categories. If you do stay at the “Value” level resorts (Pop Century, any of the All-Star resorts, Art of Animation), you will get the “Quick-Service Dining Plan” which is only good at counter-service restaurants. To me it’s not worth it, go big and I’m not saying that to get you to spend more money. I’m saying it because of the value within.
Beginning today at Walt Disney World Resort, you can enjoy half-price savings off a child’s ticket for La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil at Disney Springs when you purchase an adult ticket for shows May 31-July 23, 2016! Bring your family to a place where imagination rules!! Child-price tix start as low as $24 for Category 4 seats. Math shows that that probably makes the adult tix $48 per. La Nouba was made by the Cirque du Soleil company specifically for Disney and you won’t see this show anywhere but at Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney) and it’s a hot ticket, truly.
Soarin’ over the World is set to premier on June 17 and for anyone who’s familiar with Soarin’ over California (even in Florida), this will be a big change. The old footage was just captured over California, but this new film takes the ride’s passengers to whole new parts of the world. Get there early and make sure you get your rezzies with the FastPass+ system when you book your package (see two paragraphs above) as it will fill up before you even get to the park, most likely. Here’s a video preview of some of the new portions, courtesy of Disney Travel Agents:
