When I was younger, I was sick all the time. Mostly it was allergies and asthma which was certainly enough, I was so sick from all that that I don’t know that I really ever had a cold until later in life. I’ve mostly grown out of my asthma, though my allergies have persisted. Even a bad attack, though, generally doesn’t happen but about once or twice a year.
On Thursday, I started feeling a little drainage down my throat, indicating that cold was actually coming. I drank some juice, plenty of water and took some Tylenol. With my blood pressure meds, I have to be careful of what I take. I fought it off, mostly through Friday evening, which is good because I had the show with Clay Howard & the Silver Alerts. We killed it, I thought.
Yesterday, The BCPF and I went to have breakfast at Mary’s Gourmet Diner and then walked down to spend some time with our good buddy, Pablo at Atelier on Trade. We then went home and I slept away the day (what I could, without my CPAP, I don’t sleep very well) on the couch. We went to Willow’s to have some appetizers and I had a red sangria. I couldn’t taste anything so I stopped with one. Then we came back home and I slept for a bit longer. I tried to sleep all night but it wasn’t happening. I’d sit up coughing and sneezing and when I started to nod off, I’d lie down to try to put on the CPAP but then I’d wake up. Up again to the love seat in the bedroom and then to bed. I finally got the CPAP going for about an hour to 90 minutes. So, really, I’ve not slept much at all, and I’m completely miserable. I still have to write trivia questions for this week’s quiz at Finnigan’s. Wish me luck. And… here’s a video from the show on Friday.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
