First off, I want to wish my good buddy, Patrick and his lovely (now) fiance, Amanda on their engagement! You guys are awesome together.
Friday night, The BCPF and I experienced a bourbon dinner thrown by Chef Tim Grandinetti at Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen and Bar. There was chicken, duck, sorbets and other lovelies. You know I have to save the details for The Man Who Ate the Town: a Food Blog and that will be coming later this week. Let’s just say, Pappy Van Winkle. That’s all that needs be said, for now. Pappy Van Winkle.
Saturday we tried Krankie’s Cafe for the first time and, yes, again, you’ll have to wait until the food blog reviews it to hear what I have to say about it. We then hung out with Pablo at Atelier on Trade and also met one of the owners of the Wise Man Brewing (the new brewery coming the old Angelo Bros. building next to Ziggy’s. Then we came home to have some beer, wine and cook a Filet Mignon with wilted spinach and rosemary potatoes. Along with that, a reminiscing of our favorite city in the world, Paris, by watching Le Week-End.
We don’t particularly celebrate Valentine’s Day because we think it’s a concoction of Hallmark, Whitman’s and FTD in order to jack up prices. But, we do take the opportunity to enjoy each others’ company. But, if you celebrate, enjoy your day and your Valentines.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
