I’ve been touting a certain new job that my beautiful wife, The BCPF, was going to start. Well, that day is today. After being completely purposefully vague because she a) hadn’t told her old job that she was leaving, yet and b) there was some other items that needed to fall into place, first.
So if you haven’t figured it out from what I may have said over the last few weeks, she is now “Social Media Coordinator” of Krispy Kreme. Yes, the multi-national corporation that makes all your donuts dreams come true. The company that offer $3.99 dozens of glazed when the Carolina Panthers win. The company that pretty much everywhere you’ll find the chocolate-frosted filled donuts or crullers or coffee cakes on the grocery store end caps. She’ll be advocating anything that has that famous logo and white background with green dots on it. So if you follow them on Twitter or Facebook or Instagram or whatever your social media platform of choice is, then you’ll be seeing something that she either posted or implemented.
Krispy Kreme, for those outside of WSNC and the Triad area, originated here in WSNC in 1937 in Old Salem. Ironically, The BCPF used to work for Old Salem, as a costumed, experience tour guide. So, Krispy Kreme’s history is definitely planted right here in our fair city. It’s a big deal. Better paced job and better pay, but perhaps the best part is that there will always be room for advancement, if she chooses.
I’m proud of her, her ambition, her accomplishments, her making the best of everything she does. I lucked up, somehow, and ended up with her. Here’s to you, Baby and hope your first day (and all the next and next and next) is/are awesome! I’m sure you’ve got a winning team there and they’re definitely winners having you on it. Love ya. Ok, Dear Reader, enough of the mush.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
