The Less Desirables had this a few years back when C. Jay Platt was the Official Beer Guru of TLD. It wasn’t an official beer of the week though because he had brought several and we picked something else to be that. This is also before The BCPF was regular on the show. So, that’s a while ago. She has had it before, though. She had it at Ri Ra in Charlotte and at The Beer Dads‘ very own Paul Jones‘ house upon a visit there. She enjoyed it. And, since she’s in doing the show with me this week, Bruce and Caitlin have the week off to enjoy fam and/or travel, she picked this one. Yay for us!
It’s 5.1% ABV and is a Belgian style white beer. According to their website: “Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curaçao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.” Basically, it’s awesome. BeerAdvocate rates it at 92 (Outstanding) and the Bros give it 100 (World Class). On Untappd, it’s at 3.76 caps out of 5. Both are fantastic ratings.
Have you had this beer? If not, you should go to 915 Burke Street and get a quad of it (it only comes in quads, not sixers) and tell them it’s the beer of the week and you’ll get 5% off your order. Then, tune in to iTunes or Stitcher or the website to see what The BCPF and I have to say about it! Slàinte!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
