It seems like only a year ago that I was announcing that I was moving to a new host travel agency. In fact it was just about a year ago. Well, here it is, time to announce another change. Until recently, I had been under the umbrella of Xstream Travel, a rather large agency that had good commissions but their agent services division and procedure changed left a lot to be desired. I could write a “Rolling Stone Top 500 Albums of All Time”-sized post on that, but I’ll spare you.
The person that got me involved with Xstream asked how I was liking things and I said it was okay overall but I had some problems with some stuff. Not saying there’s anything wrong with Xstream, don’t read me wrong, just some stuff that I’m not happy with. That’s true with the new agency, too. I moved into the InteleTravel family of “agents” last week. It has been somewhat of a headache moving or porting my info from my vendors to the new info as my email address hasn’t changed. Most of the vendors, I’m registered using my email address. It keeps telling me that I’m already registered. Yes. I know. I need it removed so I can do it again with my new info. Again, pain in the arse.
I still have a branded website and my own “agency,” like with the old host. It’s still called Bee On Your Way Travel. If you’re one to use Travelocity or Priceline or Expedia, etc., you can skip on that and support someone you know, someone local, someone you love… ME! When you go to the site, you’ll have to register to use the service. I know you don’t have to do that with the big OTA (online travel agencies), but it’s designed to cut down on “shoppers” or browsing. You’re not required to purchase anything when you register, though, don’t worry. It’s just that the company, and I, think that you’ll find our prices right up there and comparable to the other OTAs that you’ll have no problem coming back again and again. Now, the caveat here is that if you’re just doing a real quick air ticket, then do it and go on about your biz. If you’re finding, however, that you’re not locating itineraries at are best for you, or if you are interested in contributing to the integrity of my household, contact me for your airfare. Chances are I can find a comparable or even beat the published fares. Also, unless it’s an international flight, I don’t make money on air booked from the site, only when I do it through my vendors. Everything else you do on my site, I get commission for it. But, honestly, I’d still rather you call me and let me help you get your bookings taken care of. It’s easier in the long run, in case something changes with your booking.
So, I still do cruises. I still do international tours and groups. I still do Disney everything!!! If I’ve ever done it in travel, I still do it. That includes travel insurance. If you’ve got trips planned that I booked for you, or insurance that I’ve booked for you. That’s all still good. It was sold from a vendor through me. The vendors are all still good. So, don’t worry. I’d love to help you with any and all of your travel needs, business or pleasure. Thanks for all you do.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
