Salutations™!!

Happy Labor Day everyone! I’ll admit that I, along with probably 75% (or more) of the country, really didn’t know the reasons we celebrate Labor Day. I’ve never been part of any union so I’ve never dealt with that situation or elements therein. I believe my father and family were part of some when they were coal miners in West Virginia. Yes, that really happened. I was too young to know what was going on with it, though. We may have learned about it in school, but I obviously didn’t pay attention.

Labor Day, to me, has always been the sign of football starting. Football is my favorite sport. NFL preferably but I’ll not shy away from college. College starts a week prior to NFL but both are exciting. The BCPF and I, along with a gaggle of our friends participated in our The Less Desirables Fantasy Football League draft. It was her first time participating in fantasy football. The first two or three rounds were a bit confusing for her but she caught on (she’s always a quick study). I think the hardest part was why the people that she was marking that she wanted kept disappearing so quickly. Again, she did great and she got a grade of B-, which is better than average. Mine was C- but I think it was because I drafted two players that are currently on suspension. I just couldn’t pass up Le’Veon Bell.

Last night a large number of those friends got together from some cornhole, drinks, fellowship and desserts! We have a lot of theme parties in this group of ours and this was one of them. 3B even went with us. This evening, we’ll be getting together with another the friends, who also happens to be PJ3 from The Beer Dads, to do a little cooking out and such. Sure to be a great time.  I hope everyone has a great Labor Day and gets to do something they enjoy with whomever they want to enjoy it with.

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!!
