I haven’t talked about this aspect in a while, but did you know that if you use Priceline, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. to book your travel that you could still use a local travel professional and actually help them feed their family? Of course, that family is mine.
People use the online travel agents (OTA) because they don’t have to deal with anyone and they feel they’re getting a better price. This isn’t always the case but sometimes, I’ll admit, it is. I’ve made the pitch: if it’s only about $25 difference and you were helping a real person instead of just an online conglomerate that is basically crapping on everyone else to get rich, wouldn’t you rather do that? I don’t care anything about getting rich. I care about feeding my family. We don’t have to eat prime rib every day, either. Just to contribute to the integrity of my household.
So how can you do that? If you use the OTAs that I mentioned above, all that money that you pay them goes first to them and then they pay for your accommodations. I have a website that is powered by Priceline and gives you the same economically sound prices and works the same way, however, for everything (outside of straight air tickets) that is sold through my website, I get paid a commission. This website is BeeOnYourWay.com. It works the same way as the OTA you’re already using. All you have to do is go to the site and punch in the data that you normally would. No big deal on your part. Nothing’s changed. Same procedure but you’re helping me.
Does this mean that I want you to not send me an email and ask for help planning your trip? No way! That’s how I actually do my job. Booking with OTA is not going to get you personalized service that gives advice and planning tools for the perfect vacation with less work on your part. That’s what we do best; that’s our benefit to you. But, if you’re just needing something on the fly, then, please, by all means, go to my website above and before you use one of those other OTAs. I truly, truly will appreciate that. My family appreciates that. Remember, it’s BeeOnYourWay.com!!!
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
