Salutations™!!

Yesterday, whilst first watching concert footage from the Bestival 2015 festival from UK and then the Women’s World Cup game, I became certified with yet another (not one, but…) two travel vendors. I’ve been selling both for a long while and the certification is a bonus for one and, to me, a necessity for the other.

First there was Collette Vacations. Collette is a world-renown travel company with close to 85 years in the industry. They’re family owned, have no debt and offer first-class products and itineraries. They are one of the few (if not the only) tour companies that offer tours to Antarctica. If you want to get there, I’m your man. But, they’re more than that. They offer, in addition to their awesome land tours, river cruises, rail journeys, small group tours, family trips and if you’re so inclined, they’re partnered with the Royal Horticulture Society and offer tours of some of the world’s most famous gardens. They have top-notch tour hosts that are English speaking as well as, at least, fluent in the language of the country or region that you’re visiting and these tour hosts will show you all that you want to see and more about the locations you visit.collette_logo_197x59

Collette takes care of all the details and when it’s the end of each day, you’ll know that you had an awesome day. Collette makes everything simple for you, the traveler. They also are one of the few that has round-trip transportation from your house to the airport (within 50 miles), so no more hassling with scheduling family and friends to take you or pick you up or no more leaving your car in the parking lot wracking up costs per day. There have been clients that I’ve sent on Collette tours and they had nothing but awesome things to say about this company. Let me help you find the right Collette tour for you. There’s a lot more to say than just this, let me talk more about it with you.

The other certification (or is it certifications?) that I got yesterday was supposed to be a continuation of certification that I got when I first got into the travel industry. I became a travel professional to be a Disney specialist for the company I worked for prior. So, I had gone through the entire module 3 years ago, just as I started. I do believe that I could have just changed my profile and then did the 2015 refresher course and been done with it. However, I wanted to prove to myself that I am the Disney guy I profess to be and I think I kicked major arse. So I went through all the modules (I think that was 7 modules in all) of the College of Disney Knowledge, including the refresher and final exam, and ended up with 96% on that last one. I missed something about Hawaii.

But when people think of Disney, I think they’re stuck on singing clocks, flying elephants, genies and what have you and Disney is all about that. That’s what made them famous. However, it goes way beyond that. Disney isn’t just Walt Disney World and Disneyland, although I will always contend that WDW is my favorite place in the world (not to be confused with Paris as my favorite city). In addition to those two parks (as well as four other parks in other countries) there is Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Aulani, a Disney resort in Hawaii.

The Disney Fantasy continues the Disney Cruise Line tradition of blending the elegant grace of early 20th century transatlantic ocean liners with contemporary design to create one of the most stylish and spectacular cruise ships afloat. Sister ship to the Disney Dream, the Disney Fantasy offers modern features, new innovations and unmistakable Disney touches.

Disney Cruise Line has four ships and offer cruise fans many Caribbean sail itineraries leaving from several ports and also seasonally include trips to Alaska and Europe; think Norway! It’s not your run-of-the-mill cruises, either. They stop at several islands in the region, just as their competitors do. There’s full-on Broadway style shows, slides, Magic portholes and other amenities that put them ahead of their competitors. Disney Cruise Line even owns its own island, Castaway Cay, in the Caribbean that all Caribbean itineraries stop at for a day. There’s a focus on families but adults feel very at home in the middle of it all, as well.

Adventures by Disney is a worldwide tour company that gives you itineraries like you’d never believe and it does so with the service, VIP experiences and unique local opportunities you can only expect from Disney. Their attention to detail is unmatched. You get not one but TWO Adventure Guides that go through extensive training to give you the absolute best experience wherever you’re traveling to. You are immersed in culture you’re learning about and in addition to the Adventure Guides there will be local experts to help you along and they take you places that you wouldn’t get to go with regular tours. They touch on six of the seven continents and their itineraries and tours are unmatched in uniqueness and quality. Many meals are included as are many of the excursions and admissions. Disney, again, focuses on families but there are also adult-only trips that you can take.  Think, China, Egypt, Paris, London, fairytale Germany, South Africa, Vietnam, Australia, Machu Picchu and many destinations in the good ol’ USA.  These are just a few of the destinations that Adventures by Disney offer. Is it expensive? Yes. Quite. But, when you think of what you have included in these packages, you’re really getting what you pay for. It’s value over cost and the value is out of this world. Let me help you plan your Dream journey, today!

Aulani is a Disney resort on the beautiful beaches of Oahu, Hawaii. “Aulani” means “messenger of the chief.” There’s a rich cultural heritage in Hawaii and Disney is doing its magic to keep that heritage preserved while offering fun and frolic in this picturesque setting. It’s everything Disney without the theme parks. The resorts, the excursions, the amenities… it’s all Disney. Much fun for the families and adults-only visitors alike.

All the Disney components, all I mentioned here and inclusive of the theme park resorts and resort areas, offer world-class cuisine (many Beard and Michelin award winners), fantastic destinations, unbelievable excursions and of course, that Disney “Magic” that is unrivaled. Disney creates a fantasy world in reality and you’re invited to “be their guests.” If there is anything I know in travel, it’s Disney. Let me help you make your dreams into “magical” memories. Now, you’re going places!

Sorry that I keep going on about travel but it is something I’m passionate about and something that 90% of the world does or wants to do. Why not help you get there!?

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
