Again, just a few weeks removed from another Mother Earth brew, the Dark Cloud Dunkel, we’ll try their lighter Cologne (that’s what Kölsch means, from Cologne)-inspired adult pop. Kölsch have a tendency to be light but still have a malty “meat” to them; a good body and yes, a good mouth feel. Mother Earth, as I’ve stated has always been a go-to of mine, when available and I’m looking forward to Endless River as we’ve never had it on the show before. We did have another Kölsch on The Beer Dads in a recent taping and I was a fan, so let’s hope this one is just as good. I’m not too worried about it letting me down.
Have you had this beer before? If so, let us know what you think of it. If not, how about giving it a try? Preferably, whilst listening to The Less Desirables this week. You can hear to see what Caitlin, Eugene, Matt Clark and I each think of it, as well. Go by City Beverage, located at 915 Burke Street in Winston-Salem and tell Spencer (or Sonny, or whomever is working) that you heard that Endless River was The Less Desirables Beer of the Week and you’ll get 5% off your sixer. Heck that’s tax, right!? Then, let us know what you think. Perhaps you’re just dying for us to try a beer that you’ve found that you liked? Tell us about it. Drop us a line on Twitter, Facebook or email us (our first name)@thelessdesirables.com.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
“A clean, crisp beer, Kolsch offers a very slight fruity flavor and aroma. It is light gold in color, with a delicate head. This light-bodied beer appeals to nearly everyone who samples it.” – Mother Earth Brewing website
