Happy May Day everyone! Well, Nigel turned six this morning. Six hundred to be exact! I know, many of you are gagging yourselves right now, rolling your eyes or facepalming. I’ve been good about it, only posted the first hundred on Facebook.
Yeah, you know what?! I love this car. I mean L.O.V.E. this car! It’s the most fun I’ve ever had in a car. It handles great, it runs smoothly, it has a sun roof that covers the whole top of the car (the glass part anyway), a great sound system. I mean, there is little wrong this little guy can do. He’s awesome.
The way I figure it is I’ve had him about 6 weeks, already made one payment on him, in fact. So I’m averaging about 100 miles a week. That’s not too bad. I’m only putting an average of about 5,200 miles a year on him that way. That’s way below standard, I think. Now, I’m sure we’ll come up with some beach trip or hang on a trip to WV or Charleston, SC or something. A mountains trip, mayhap? Something’s bound to come up. The point is, I know we’ll be taking some odd, random trips that will raise up the miles temporarily, but I think the average will remain in that area. I’m ready to take him somewhere, really, and I hate driving. But, I love driving him!
I went to take him through a brushless wash the other day and both computers were out on the place. I don’t know why they leave it standing there, really. Anywhat! I haven’t washed him yet but it’s coming. I already make sure 3B doesn’t put his feet on the dash or watch where those big boats go when he’s sitting in the front seat. I do wipe away the dust that settles in there (it is pollen season) every time I get in. I want him to stay new for as long as possible. Have I mentioned that I love this car? Happy 600, Nigel and here’s to another 100,000 (or whatever).
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
