In the past, I’ll admit, I’ve voiced my disappointment in Foothills Brewing‘s selection of brews. I won’t get into the problems I’ve had with it as that’s not what this is about. Recently, I’ve been at Foothills for some functions and events and every time I’m in there I’ve been (very) pleasantly surprised with the libations that I’ve had the opportunity to imbibe. I don’t know what happened with their formula, but it’s actually fun to drink Foothills beers, to me, now.
So when I was at the Official Beer Sponsor of The Less Desirables, City Beverage, I saw this wonderful beer waving at me. What I’m talking about is People’s Porter, which happens to be my favorite from Foothills. You know we’re all about local (Triad or just outside, NC area) and since our guest for tonight is Lawren Desai, the owner/curator of the Official Movie Sponsor of The Less Desirables, a/perture Cinema, then it makes a great pairing. Local theater. Local brewery. Local flair.
Then, tune into The Less Desirables this week (available late tonight) to hear what our thoughts and feelings (and tastings) are about this beer.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
