Innis & Gun Rum Aged Ruby Red from City Beverage

I’m very excited about the Beer of the Week, sponsored by City Beverage Company, of The Less Desirables.  I know we usually keep the spoilers to a minimum, for one, we want you to listen.  But, this isn’t really giving anything away, you’d still want to listen to hear what we say (or how we act).

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, then you know that I got married in Edinburgh, Scotland this past September.  Whilst in Edinburgh, we drank a good bit.  Mostly whiskey, or as we call it, Scotch, but there was some beer consumption as well.  UK is known for their beer as well as whiskey.  One of the ones that The BCPF and I both tried and both liked was from Innis & Gunn.  We hadn’t seen much of that over here.  Well, guess what!!??  City Beverage has it.  The downside is it’s only in 4 packs and costs as much as a sixer but still, it’s going to be fantastic.  At least, I hope it will.  It was over there.

The version I picked was the Rum Aged Ruby Red which is matured over rum-infused American oak heartwood which results in a beer with a delicious warming character that is bursting with fruit and lively spiciness.  Not necessarily fruity, but what the rum aged wood brings to the table.  Anywhat! Listen later tonight or early tomorrow, or whenever and then go to City Bev and get your own quad and let us know what you think!

Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
Scorp out!
