Yesterday, The BCPF and I went to the Queen City of Charlotte to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring former American Idol stars (and husband and wife team) Diana DiGarmo and Ace Young as the Narrator and Joseph, respectively.
We were warned that the show may be “so-so” but we went in with no expectations and actually thought it was a good show, overall. DiGarmo and Young make a good pair because they both sing out of their noses but their voices are good otherwise. The show was very entertaining and I told The BCPF that I thought it was more than so-so, it was actually good. We both agreed it was way better than Evita, which we both agreed we didn’t care for at all, the acting, the singing, the storyline. Just didn’t like that one at all.
We then went to The Wooden Vine, a favorite of ours in Charlotte that has an urban gourmet bistro feel. She had wine I had beer; we both had cheese and charcuterie. Yum. Then the drive home.
When we got home, we finished up season two of Newhart and started season six of Gilmore Girls. So, I’m now even more aggravated with Rory and think Lorelei is being childish. Oh well, those crazy girls, gotta love ’em. We love our binge watching Saturdays. It would have been more had we not gone to Charlotte, but I’m glad we did.
A side note, I binge watched the entire 4th season of Mad Men on Friday. I was working on stuff that didn’t let me leave the house so I was stuck in front of the TV. It happens.
Until tomorrow, same blog channel…
